[Santo - The Beach]

[master post]
You have to walk down a ramp to get to the sand. The ramp stretches over sand dunes, with sea oats dotting them, blowing in the near-constant breeze. On the same level as the ramp: a boardwalk, dotted with places to get sketchy-looking fried food, to try your luck at a number of games of chance, to watch performers, to ride roller coasters of the future!!!!
When you walk down the ramp, it's all white sand and blue water. Down about half a mile is a pier that juts out several hundred feet.
It's a nice beach. Not too crowded.

And then, with a quite wide smile. "And better. Home is much better."

She still couldn't believe she'd done it.
She would never forget that she had or how it felt.

"Aren't you theoretically supposed to like your fiance?"

Date: 2008-04-11 01:08 am (UTC)Marian agreed with a nod and smile.
"Helps if he doesn't get you there through black mail and threats, but it does make the act much more satisfying."
Marian? Likes punching people? Never.

Date: 2008-04-11 01:16 am (UTC)It's quickly offered, and Mal follows with, "I just think you're going to have to work harder 'n most womenfolk from your where and when for one."

Date: 2008-04-11 01:20 am (UTC)She wasn't think too much on it yet. Just it having happened, having that air cleared, so they both knew with and beyond words.
It was enough for now.
"I think you are right," she said softly, wrapping her arms about her knees loosely. "And that it doesn't bother me so much now either."

She doesn't say the right one. Or the only one. That part is far too soon for the past and present they share.
"Robin of Locksley. Robin Hood now."
Always just her Robin. No title needed. (He was far too arrogant before you gave him one.)
